Health

Miniature bull terrier‘s have  several genetic diseases such as LP, LAD, PLL and proper testing needs to be done to ensure the highest quality of your miniature bull terrier .

LP : Laryngeal paralysis 

this is a disease which causes difficulty in breathing in affected dogs and the most severe cases can cause death by suffocation. It is thought to be inherited, but it is not yet fully understood scientifically.

LAD: Lethal Acrodermatitis 

A lethal breed specific genetic disease of miniature bull terrier’s. Clinical signs usually seem puppies with growth retardation, acrodermatitis , purple tea dermatitis and paronychia. Infected pups can also exhibit abnormal behaviors and diarrhea, but not all of the symptoms are present in all the affected pups .

PLL: Primary Lens  Luxation

Primary Lens Luxation Is a hereditary defect and destroys the fibers holding the lens of the eye am please. Did learn shit out of place, causing sudden painful blindness. The genetic mutations responsible for this condition has been infected. PLL clear dogs will not develop the condition PLL Carrier dogs have extremely low risk and may pass the mutation on to their offspring’s. PLL affected dogs are likely to develop PLL and definitely will pass the mutation onto their puppies.

 

Training

Typical terriers mini bulls require a trainer with a firm hand and a gentle voice , as well as lots of patients and a great sense of humor. Mini bullterriers are highly intelligent , curious , and independent , although they do love to please there humans once they know what you want. Whatever method of training you choose keep your tone positive and be sure to keep training sessions light and fun to hold your mini bullterriers attention early socialization is a must!

Feeding

Recommended daily amount: 1.5  to 2cups of high-quality dry food a day, divided into two meals.

Grooming

The miniature bull terrier doesn’t require a lot of grooming beyond regular baths and a weekly once over with a soft brush, the breed  strong fast growing nails should be trimmed regularly using nail clippers or grinder to avoid splitting or cracking of an overgrown nail . The ears should be checked routinely and avoid a buildup of wax  or debris which can result in an ear infection. The teeth should be brush regularly and should also receive periodic cleanings .
